Dead sea, Ein Bokek in Israel

We rented a car, and drove from Tel Aviv to the dead sea, driving in Israel is very easy, and there are many places on the way to stop an enjoy the view, specially if you drive south from Tel aviv, the tour down is amazing.
https://www.leonardo-hotels.com/leonardo-club-hotel-dead-sea

We stayed that the Leonardo club All inclusive, it has it own beach, amazing view, free parking, and good food at the buffet, but it needs some maintainance and the staff can be a bit rude, so next time we will look for other options

Below is the beach that belongs to the hotel

Below is the hotel at night, it is perfect climate for an evening walk

Driving back from the dead sea we took the northern route, and had a stop at the lovest bar in the world, at Kali beach, be aware that you need to pay for entering, but then you also have acces to the beach at the dead sea, showers and many more facilities

Jerusalem 2020

In Jerusalem you should try a restaurant that is close to the market, it is called Arepas and they serve food from Venezuela, my favorite is Chachapa
https://www.facebook.com/arepastlv/?fref=ts

After eating I will suggest to visit the local market, it is so colorfull and full of life, the market is called Machane Yehuda Market, and you can find fruits, small cafe's, candy's, plenty of clothes, food and much more, I will suggest that you just take a walk and enjoy all the colorfull things and people.
Parking can be a challenge, so be patient or park a bit away and walk or take a taxi.

Below is one of the many small streets at the market, this picture is taken when they opened up, so there is not a lot of people, so come early

Below you see some of the fruit displays, spices.
And you need to go and try some Halva

Scotland - Portree

Scotland, Portree

My trip to Portree started i Aberdeen airport were I landed, it is a small airport, so getting out of the airplane and finding your luggage is very easy and fast. My challenge was that I had 4 hours before I had to take the train, so I waited around at the aiport, got a very nice burger at a bar called The Granite City, after that I found the bus nr. 80 to take me to the train station, it is a short ride. When at the train station I had to get the train to Kyle of Lochalsh, it is an 5 and a half hour trip were you can see the beautifull landscape passing by, and the passengers at the train are very welcoming and talkative so the trip vent fast, I had to change train in Inverness, that was very easy, since there are only two tracks so I could easily find the next train :-)
When you get to Kyle of Lochals you can take a bus to portree, and since portree is a small and cosy little town you can walk around to see all the things, take som time to sit in a cafe and enjoy the peace and look at all the different people.

Portree seen from the harbour.
If you don't have a car to go around to see the surrounding of Portree than I will suggest to take one of the many 1 day tours that will show you more of skye, they all depart from the center, you can look at tripadvisor to see which one fits you, I will suggest to look at skye tours, they have the best guides and know everything you can imagine about skye.
When in portree, you need to walk up to the tower to get the view of the bay area and to Portree, it is a nice walk through a small park, and when you arrive you get  rewarded with a stunning view
This picture it taken from the tower

Bilbao - The Guggenheim Museum

The Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, with art of modern and contemporary art, was opened in 1997, it is placed next to the river Nervion river.

The side of the museum, I suggest that you take a walk around the museum to enjoy the beautiful architecture of the museum and the surroundings

Or just sit down and enjoy the view of all the people passing by

You can also see the big spider on the back of the museum

Walking around the museum you can see the famous dog that is build out of flowers. it is called puppy and is made by Jeff Koons

Bilbao - Vizcaya bridge

In Bilbao you can try the funny moving "bridge" it was build in 1893 to connect the two cities Portogalete and Getxo, but they didn't want to have a normal bridge that could disturb the maritime traffic, so they came up with this construction.

July the 13, 2006 Unesco declared the bridge a World heritage site

If you feel like you can take the elevator 50 meters up and walk over the bridge, there is an amazing view over the harbour
It operates every 8 minute the whole day, and around 4 million passengers use the bridge every year

The bridge also transport cars and bicycles

Link to the official page of the bridge, where you can find time schedule for operation and prices for tickets: http://www.puente-colgante.com/index.php/es/
